Papa Meaning In Bahasa

Meaning of Papa In the Indonesian Language

The first meaning of [papa] is father. Sometimes you hear Indonesian people add [h] in the end when saying it [papah], and sometimes not, but the meaning is the same, [father].

The second meaning of [papa] is poor. But, usually, it collocates with the word [kaum]. So, [kaum papa] means someone poor. We can see an example sentence from the picture below.

It says, "Jerit Kaum Papa di Balik Gemerlap Ibu Kota," which in English it would be translated as,

The screams of the poor behind the glittering of the capital city.

In this clip, as you can see, the word [papa] collocates with the word [kaum]. [Kaum papa] in this clip means the poor.
